i have been goin here every wednesday for the past 10 years, i have tried all pizzas in downtown and this is the closest to a perfect NY style pizza, staff is amazing the ingredients used are great quality and you cannot beat the prices- takenit from a NEW YORKER that worked in a italian restaurant for years in hells kitchen new york.
Honestly pizza is overpriced.. two slices for $14-15?! Buffalo chicken slice had 2 holes thru the slice as well. Smh. Pizza tasted ok overall.
If I could leave zero stars I would! I spent $40 here for cold pizza. First off I called to ask how long it would be to pick up some wings and 3 slices of pizza to be rudely told 20 mins. I get there to pick it up and it's still not ready, which is ok being that it's a Saturday night. I get home (about 6 mins away) to find they never reheated the pizza! I'll make sure to avoid this pizza restaurant next time as it was a huge disappointment.
Warning: the Chicken Parmesan is not Chicken Parmesan; it’s actually pasta with some sliced chicken inside of it. The chicken is not breaded, nor is it an unsliced chicken breast. Please see photo
The buffalo chicken is the best slice of pizza I ever had and this place is always consistent. Mikey makes authentic NY style pizza to perfection. I've been going there for 5 years and I drive from hunters creek just to get a slice from there. Hands down best pizza in Orlando. The chicken wings are amazing to. The only reason the have bad reviews is because drunk patrons and homeless people come and go so staff has to deal with that. I've always been treated with respect.
I have been ordering from Verona’s for over 4 years. I have NEVER gotten bad food. The food is ALWAYS MADE PERFECTLY! They are so consistent, you know what you’re going to get when ordering here. My favorite is their Buffalo Wings and they never disappoint. They are cooked perfectly every time, not too crunchy not too soggy. They are generously sized and the sauce is the best flavor I’ve ever had (Buffalo medium). The pizza is a must have if you like authentic NY style. I’ve introduced Verona’s to every one of my friends and they have all fallen in love with this place. It’s not a place for eating in as it’s more of a to go/delivery place. Nothing fancy about the restaurant itself. Their focus is clearly on the food quality and that’s what I care about. The customer service has always been good for me. I’m respectful to them and that’s probably why. I’ve read other reviews on this subject and I have to say I’ve seen some interactions in the restaurant with the many young drunk patrons late night and I imagine that can be tough to deal with as a food service worker. I’ll leave it at that. Again the food is the best!!
Carried out a calzone and cheese bread recently. I would definitely recommend Verona's to locals and weary travelers alike - great food and decent prices!
First, I am a PizzaExpert and did a video review on this place. Secondly, there maybe some brand confusion here as they have a different sign outside. I saw a pizzas half cooked in the back (unattended), and waiting to go in the oven... Disgusting. Cheese lacks severely in flavor although there's a ton of cheese and that makes the bottom crust decent. Edge crust was overcooked. Tomato sauce was tasteless. See more in my video review!
